Privacy policy
- No sign-up, login, e-mail or password. You play without identifying yourself.
- Your progress is saved on your device.
- Only what you choose to send reaches our server: progress synced with a code, levels you publish to the community, likes, and your nickname on the rankings.
- We use anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics 4), which you can turn off in the game menu.
- The Android app has optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob, shown only when you choose to watch one.
1. Who is responsible
The game is developed and run by Felipe Sant'Ana Barroso — Spartan TI, Cariacica/ES, Brazil, the data controller under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018, LGPD). Privacy contact: [email protected].
2. Playing without an account
Anubis Temple Tracker does not ask for your name, e-mail, phone number, password, location, contacts, photos or any other personal data in order to play. There are no user accounts.
3. Progress saved on your device
Completed levels, stars, step counts, Anubis skins, the levels you build in the editor and your settings (language, sound, controls) are stored in the browser's or the app's local storage. This data stays on your device unless you use the online features described below. Clearing the browser data, clearing the app data or uninstalling the app deletes it.
4. Sync code (optional)
To continue on another device you can create a sync code. The server then keeps a copy of your game progress (levels, stars, created levels and game settings) linked only to that code. We do not ask for or store any personal data with it. Anyone who has the code can load that progress, so keep it to yourself.
5. Community levels
- Publishing a level: we send the map you built, its title and the author name you choose to the server. They become public in the community gallery. Use a nickname: your real name is not needed.
- Likes: to count at most one like per device, the game creates a random anonymous identifier and keeps it on your device. It is not linked to your name, your advertising ID or your device details.
- Offensive or illegal levels or names, or ones that expose other people's data, may be removed without notice.
6. Rankings (Daily Temple and every level)
When you submit a result to a ranking, the server receives the nickname you type, the sequence of moves you made (used only to check the solution by replaying it), the number of steps and the anonymous device identifier, used to keep one result per device on each level. The nickname and step count are shown on the public ranking.
7. Anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics 4)
To learn which levels are too hard, whether the game runs well on each kind of device and what to improve, we use Google Analytics 4. It records usage events such as screens opened, levels started, completed or abandoned, hints used and play time, plus general technical information (device type, operating system, browser, language and approximate country or region). We never send your nickname, sync code or level contents. Google Analytics advertising features are turned off.
Google Analytics keeps a random identifier in the browser or app. You can turn statistics off in the game menu, after which nothing else is sent. More information: Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
8. Rewarded ads in the Android app (Google AdMob)
The Android app may offer optional rewarded ads, for example to earn an extra hint. An ad only plays when you tap to watch it, and the whole game can be played without watching any. The browser version shows no ads.
- When an ad loads, Google AdMob may collect the Android advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad interaction data to serve the ad, measure performance, prevent fraud and, if you allow it, personalize ads.
- Consent: where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the app shows Google's consent form before any ad. Elsewhere you can limit personalization by resetting or deleting your advertising ID under Settings › Google › Ads on Android.
- Google policies: how Google uses information in advertising, Google Privacy Policy and data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
9. Who we share data with
We do not sell data. Apart from what you choose to make public (published levels, author name and ranking nickname), data only goes through the processors needed to run the game: our server hosting provider (Railway), Google Analytics and, in the Android app, Google AdMob. These services may process data outside Brazil, under the safeguards required by the LGPD. All communication with our server is encrypted (HTTPS).
10. How long we keep data
Synced progress, published levels, likes and ranking results are kept while the feature is active or until you ask us to delete them. Google Analytics data follows the retention period set in the service (14 months at most).
11. Your rights and deletion requests
Under the LGPD you can ask for confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability and deletion of your data. Since there are no accounts, e-mail [email protected] with anything that helps us find the data: your sync code, the author name and titles of published levels, or the nickname used on the leaderboard. We reply within 15 days. Data kept only on your device can be deleted by you at any time by clearing the browser or app data.
12. Children and teenagers
The game is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has published personal data (for example, a real name as author or nickname), write to the address above and we will remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Important changes will also be mentioned in the game's release notes.
